MonsterMovieTV - An Introduction

In my searching of the Internet the one thing I could not find was a source of information on Horror and Science Fiction movies that I liked. The cheesy ones. Since no one else had stepped up I felt it was my duty to. Movies that are all about the enjoyment of watching the writer's ideas get watered down by a pathetic budget or bad acting or even the plot that must have been written by a cranked out sixth grader.

Stephen King wrote in "Danse Macabre" that there are three types of horror, the scare, the freak-out and the gross out. Modern horror is the latter. No longer do we care about the story or characters, most people want to see blood and guts and bits of flesh dripping from someone's teeth.

As I write these articles I hope to share with you my love of "Crappy Horror and Sci-Fi" and take us back to a time when Rob Zombie wasn't completely missing the point and Eli Roth wasn't masturbating all over the genre with blood and gore.

Attack of The Killer Tomatoes

Now before I start receiving comments about how these two, for example, have resurrected the horror movie industry; this is my soapbox and I want to talk about movies like "Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes" and "Night of The Lepus." If you like modern horror than these articles will bore you to tears, but if you have fond memories growing up watching the late night horror shows hosted by Elvira, Dr. Shock or the Saturday Night Dead crew then you have found a sympathetic ear, eyes, nose and throat.
